RFE: Enable select multiple Aliases and or Alias Folder(-s) using both Shift or Ctrl and then apply Connect... command on these selected items

Hello,

may I ask You to consider following RFE? RFE: Enable select multiple Aliases and or Alias Folder(-s) using both Shift or Ctrl and then apply Connect... command on these selected items.

The reason is for this RFE is to enable fast and easily open multiple Aliases (database connections) at once. Moreover, when Aliases will have stored passwords (secure encrypted), then opening these selected Alias items or even Alias folders would be within a second(-s).

P. S. I run SQuirreL SQL 5.0.0 using Adoptium Open JDK 25 (Temurin) and it works OK.

Hello, Gerd,

I tested this functionality. It works almost OK, but there is one problem. Only consecutive Aliases can be selected. So even using Ctrl+mouse, it behaves like using Shift+mouse selection. In other words it can not be selected the first and the third Alias in the Alias Folder, only the first, the second and the third Alias. Or did I miss something?

Hello, Gerd, @gerdwagner , I tested this behaviour on snapshot 20260722_1927 and unfortunately Ctrl+mouse click does not select only clicked Aliases (non-consecutive Aliases). It looks like GUI Swing problem, am I right? Should I close this issue as unresolveable? Regards, Stepan
