Bug: Execution of program stops

when a command is given to open a software which is not installed the program gives a file not found error, i want to implement a check to see weather the software is installed before opening it.
Please assign this to me for GSSOC 22'

Great idea, but till now we have used only few commands to open applications (using their paths). To go with this issue, you have to first develop a feature that can open all the applications using a single path (like global path). Then you can work on this feature.

Would you like to open a new issue for the same??
